As many may have heard, Jacquie’s Café (also the headquarters of Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering) was destroyed by our neighbor’s office fire. We were devasted, as that location along 96th and Michigan Road has been our hub for the past twenty or so years.
And – the fire didn’t hold us back. We kept all the parties and events on the books that week, making adjustments – but not cancelling a single date.
Jacquie’s team is filled with optimists and dedicated workers who kept our (metaphysical) kitchen doors open while we shifted gears and looked for another location.
Very recently, we purchased a nearby building that will keep our business simmering along nicely. We are in the process of moving into this new office/kitchen space after we have built it out for our needs. It’s located at 96th and Michigan Road, just south of our former location.
The new facility will include a large showroom, meeting room, tasting room, and space for lots of equipment, prep tables, and kitchen gear. We’re excited to have a new home to move into – and continue our inventive and healthy cuisine endeavors -- very soon.
And YES INDEED! Down the road, this new facility will also re-open our customer’s beloved Jacquie’s Café. Stay tuned!!
But for now, we all super enthused to have a new and improved, roomier place to prepare our work – and help our new and repeat customers all the choices open to them on events yet-to-come.
