One reason The Art Center is so special is the architecture. Designed by Indy’s own Michael Graves, the building is full of angles, unexpected colors, expansive light, and high ceilings. And then, of course – there’s the artwork. Paintings, sculptures and installations – everywhere.
There’s more sculpture, gardens and artistic landscaping outside in the ArtsPark-- another beautiful reason to hold an event here – especially in warmer months. The Art Center is perfectly located on ten hilly, wooded acres along the White River, just north of Broad Ripple on College Avenue and 67th Street. Very easy to get to, as well.
The size of the Art Center is deceptively large, including 8 art galleries, 14 studios, a 224-seat auditorium, and the ArtsPark outside – absolutely fabulous for upscale evening events. The facility is very welcoming, with plenty of parking, and provides guests with lots to discuss as they peruse the galleries.
When you are ready to plan an event with energy, pizzazz and creative unexpectedness, take it to The Indianapolis Art Center with Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering and give your guests a party that will get remembered!
