That can be unusual pairings of foods, or interesting display stations.
It could be fun ways to incorporate logo or wedding theme colors into the menu, or coming up with an unexpected venue that works perfectly for a host’s needs.
We firmly believe this is an important part of what we do. We enjoy the innovating, creating, and coming up with new ways to do things. It’s a big part of what Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering is all about.
For instance, when Jacquie Bols first opened her catering business in Indianapolis, she brought a lot of European ideas about foods, preparation, sauces, and cooking techniques with her. That was her background, after all. Some people thought European foods and preparation methods wouldn’t catch on in Indy. Twenty-plus years later, we think it’s safe to say that wasn’t the case.
Today we are frequently listed in the top 10 caterers in the Indy scene. That’s true for weddings and just as true for corporate events.
We haven’t stopped looking for what’s new in foods, either. Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering was one of the first caterers to seriously consider the sustainability of the food we served, too. Twenty years ago, that was a fairly radical idea. Today, the rest of the food industry has caught on to this – when it suits them.
But for us, we understand very well that every single part of food preparation contributes to greenhouse emissions, from growing practices, sourcing, preparation, presentation, to waste reduction.
Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering has continues been focused on food sustainability since day one.
We look for local farms – and support individual-owned companies over mass production -- for our breads, meats, and greens. And it’s paid off. We’re known for our healthy food choices as much as we are known for our beautiful food preparation.
Let’s talk about your vision for your next event – and together – make it the most un-boring, delicious, beautiful -- and talked-about event of the year!
