Cocktail Reception at the IUPUI Chancellor’s Residence

We recently had the pleasure of catering a cocktail reception for an intimate group of 50 or so guests at the Indiana University-Purdue University – Indianapolis campus. The setting was an evening event at the Chancellor’s Residence from 6 to 8 p.m., to celebrate the New Year.

Appetizers and Small Plates:

In order to fit the festive theme of this occasion, Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering provided an elaborate display of hors d’oeuvres to complement the mingling and celebrating. The menu consisted of:

The spread included fresh fruit and vegetables and chef-carved beef tenderloin, along with other hand-held bites.

• Chef Carved Beef Tenderloin Marinated in Garlic, Fresh Herbs and Olive Oil, Slowly Roasted to Perfection and Served with Au Jus Aioli and Horseradish Cream

• Chicken Quesadilla with Chipotle Aioli

• Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail with Jacquie's Horseradish Cocktail Sauce

• Three Layer Pesto Torte with English Crackers

• Scottish Smoked Salmon Platter Served with Capers, Lemon, Onion and Creme Fraiche

• Baby Crudités Basket: Assortment of Farm Fresh Vegetables with Garden Herb Dip

• Twice Baked Mini Potatoes with Cheese and Fresh Chives

• Fresh Fruit Display

Mini bowls of mashed potatoes topped with wild mushroom beef meatballs made for hearty appetizers for guests.

Our dessert and beverage display was not to disappoint either, with several options of sweets to select, along with our coffee and hot tea. These desserts included mini versions of our favorites, including:
