The Conner Prairie Alliance held a plated luncheon for 50 honored guests at the lovely Balmoral House in Fishers, on June 15th.
As the guests began to arrive on the warm shaded outside deck, they were greeted with a beverage station that included refreshing Basil Lime Spritzer and/or fresh squeezed Strawberry Lemonade. An array of Fresh Figs and Mascarpone Cheeses were also on hand.
Once everyone had socialized, the attendees stepped inside the main house for a delightful multi-course lunch. The Balmoral House is known for it’s simple elegance, and the crisp while linen set table rounds did not disappoint.
Jacquie’s lunch menu choices were perfect for a summer luncheon – colorful, light and fresh.
The meal included:
- Chilled Avocado Soup with Crème Fraiche
- Grilled and Marinated Chicken Breast with Jacquie’s famous House Salad (Cherry tomatoes, chopped cucumbers and thinly sliced red onion, topped with shaved parmesan and house Champagne Vinaigrette dressing).
Dessert was lightly chilled Chocolate Mouse garnished with Fresh Raspberries and Mint.
All menu items were locally sourced and made from scratch.
Conner Prairie Alliance guests left feeling honored as well as sated, but not overly full.
