Plated Dinner and Wedding Reception at Gallery Forty-Two

March 30, 2017Susan Young

We enjoyed catering the recent Camaron-Villecco wedding on the evening of March 25th at Gallery Forty-Two, an historic building in the heart of downtown Indianapolis. This intimate wedding setting featured fine art as the backdrop, and hosted the couple’s 80 or so guests for both their wedding ceremony and reception with drinks and a plated dinner. The décor included floor-length, silver satin tablecloths with navy Bengaline napkins and white resin padded chairs.

An elegant entry sign greeted wedding guests for Alycia and Camaron.

The ceremony began in Gallery Forty-Two’s downstairs event area at 6 p.m. Afterward, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour on the mezzanine level. During this time, our butlers passed out hors d’oeuvres on silver trays. The cocktail hour cuisine included saffron risotto cakes with shaved Parmesan and chicken quesadilla with chipotle aoli.

A cozy table for the bride and groom was set with plenty of candlelight and a Mr. and Mrs. sign.

ENTRÉE:

For the formal reception, Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering crew set up cocktail tables in the mezzanine with salads as a starter. This included a mixed field greens salad with dried cranberries, goat cheese and candied pecans with our house-made French champagne vinaigrette.

During the dinner portion, guests could enjoy iced tea as well as their choice of entrée: beef tenderloin with cognac shallot sauce or airline chicken breast with white wine sauce and roasted heirloom tomatoes.

A vegetarian option included bow tie pasta with roasted vegetables and Alfredo cream sauce, and a children’s meal offered chicken fingers with fresh fruit.

Side dishes for the meals were scalloped potatoes, assorted roasted vegetables with olive oil and herbs, and baby dinner rolls with butter.

The tables were set and ready for guests in gray, navy and white with the unique architectural details of the art gallery walls. Assorted rolls and butter waited for guests to enjoy.

DESSERT

Once the bride and groom cut the wedding cake, Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering cut and served guests the wedding cake. Guests also enjoyed coffee with cream and a variety of mini desserts displayed on glass trays, including French Chocolate Mousse in Shot Glass with Demi Spoons and assorted Mini Cupcakes.
